| Knowth and Newgrange were the first real touristy stops Kevin and I made on our trip. We travelled up to County Meath (the Boyne Valley) and took the tours. It was October 31, so we lucked out that it was the last day to view Knowth for the year. Not only that, it was Samhain! Happy new year!

| We saw many different sites along our drives and so many that caught our eye sadly had to do with death. It wasn't intentional, but those places were just so sacred and interesting. They're legacies to our ancestors.

We also visited the Hill of Tara - the ancient site where the High King would be crowned (or initiated, or ...kinged?). It's impressive how the sheep just roam wherever they please. ^_^ (Photos of Tara:

| So much of Ireland was farm land. Open fields as far as the eye could see. Many of these fields were inhabited with sheep, cows, ravens and the occasional ancient site.

| The Cliffs of Moher is a breathtaking site found in County Clare. The wind was really strong and the scenery was just amazing.
Another joy of the trip was the fact that we kept finding all these ancient sites along the roads in random farms. One that was open to the public was Browne's Hill Dolmen. What was amazing about that one is that it wasn't ever excavated, nor was it roped off - we just walked right up to it and wandered around it freely! It was magical!

| The place we stayed for the most of the trip was Kinnity Castle in County Offaly. It was a lovely Bed & Breakfast complete with a Spa, a restaurant, equestrian stables and access to all sorts of activities.
